The Daily Bubbles

FRIDAY!

You can't live in Michigan and not know the names of our most notorious residents.  Even when they have already passed on.  One name is synonomous with notoriety, and most likely will be known into infamy.  Of course I'm talking about Dr. Jack Kevorkian.

He was either a hero, or the ultimate in evil, depending on which side of the fence you stand.  He brought an issue to the forefront of everyone's minds.  Quality versus quantity.  Only you can decide for yourself, but you must admit he gave a powerful argument.  The right to die is a touchy emotional choice… and highly personal.

An English author is currently battling to make this choice for himself.  Terry Pratchett, author of the very popular Discworld series (among others), has been diagnosed with Alzheimers, and has made his intentions public.  He wants to be able to choose his fate before his mind abandons him.

What would you do, if faced with this sort of sentence?  There is not a cure for this disease, nor is there one hovering on the horizon.  What would you want?
