Protest Glenn Beck and the MI Chamber of Commerce

Dear Aimee:

Really?  Glenn Beck?  

What possible relevance does a race-baiting demagouge have to the Michigan Chamber of Commerce?  From what expertise can he speak to the business people of our state?  Do you seek his uninformed, nutbag opinions, i.e.,  of the socialism of the auto bailout, the crybaby unemployed and uninsured?  

Do you really believe that the moderate conservatives that make up your organization embrace Beck, the poster boy for the far right wing?  Are you really willing to trade the few minutes of fame the CofC may garner for subjecting your members to this man's cocktail of hate and fear?  

Besides ink, what does Glenn Beck have to offer you?  

As a citizen of Michigan, and an employee of one of your members, I am ashamed at your blatant effort to pander to this element.

If you can go, bring a sign.  As I mentioned in a previous post, here are my suggestions for signage:

MSU IS NOT GLENNBECKISTAN - GO HOME
GLENN BECK HAS A DEEP SEATED HATRED OF SANE PEOPLE
HOW MANY ADVERTISERS DID YOU LOSE TODAY?
GLENN TO 9/11 VICTIMS:  "SHUT UP!"

Why aren't the unions (4.00 / 3)

that represent workers at those companies speaking out against Beck. He wants to destroy everything they represent.

Excellent point, Cordelia. It isn't just Beck that they should be protesting but Tom Donohue too. The US Chamber of Commerce vows to spare no expense when it comes to union busting.
