A month ago, U.S. Rep Thaddeus McCotter, R-Livonia, was chastising Texas Rep. Pete Sessions and others for what he called their "selective sympathy" toward General Motors' bondholders - instead of line workers - as the White House steered GM toward bankruptcy.
On Thursday,Sessions was hosting a health care industry lunch - a fund-raiser - for McCotter, who the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and its chairman, Rep. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, have targeted as one of the House's most vulnerable GOPers.
McCotter spokesman Joe Cella said that as head of the National Republican Congressional Committee, Sessions is supposed to help McCotter win re-election - whether they agree on everything or not.
I remember McCotter being one of the people who was complaining about the "cashocracy" in Congress. Yet when it comes to making his money, he'll line up behind whoever is paying.
