Well this bites the big one but it’s not really unexpected. Justice Diane Hathaway has announced that she will be resigning from the court on January 21 2013. The announcement comes after the Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission filed a complaint asking that she be suspended.
Federal prosecutors have accused Hathaway and husband Michael Kingsley of fraud in the sale of their home in suburban Detroit. While trying to negotiate a short sale with a bank, they put their debt-free Florida home in the name of a relative in 2010.
Well, it’s still better than having had Cliff Taylor in there the last couple of years.
And in other news, Tom DeLay was sentenced to 3 years in prison …
There are no cover bands in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
