State Representative Tom McMillin’s position that being gay is a choice got some more attention today in the local media.
Fox 2 did a great story covering McMillin’s controversial statement he made on Monday at a town hall meeting that he holds on a monthly basis.
Fox 2 reporter Ronnie Dahl also interviewed Ferndale’s openly gay mayor Craig Covey, disagreed with McMillin’s statement that being gay is a choice and went on to day, “Being a bigot, being anti-gay, that is a choice. It’s a choice that Tom McMillin has made.”
McMillin refused to be interviewed for his response to the story, but did issue a statement that read in part, “A few liberals clearly want to take the focus off what we’ve been accomplishing.”
