Apparently, Michigan Speaker of the House Jase Bolger is not too worried about the one-person grand jury investigation into his election fraud, and according to today’s subscription only MIRS, neither is his counterpart in the Senate, Senate Majority Leader Randy Richaedville.
Richardville is quoted in MIRS saying “Bolgergate” is “no great shakes for those attending the Republican National Convention in Tampa. “ That may be because the two leaders of the House and Senate Caucuses are far too busy hosting parties for big-money lobbyists.
ABC news did a report on the lavish parties paid for by lobbyists. Apparently, the reported was prompted by the discovery of a party for Romney’s top donors aboard a 150-foot yacht flying the flag of the Cayman Islands. Investigative reporter Brian Ross showed up with a camera at one party at a lavish hotel, and he said they first tried to hide the sign and then told them to turn their camera off.
As you will see in at the 2:15 mark in the video, the sign they are trying to hide is for a welcome party for lobbyists hosted by Bolger and Richardville.
