Happy Tuesday. Today I am hyper-aware of all the chocolate in our house from my kids’ Easter baskets. I may have to steal one. Or two.
Here’s some Michigan pride music to start your morning, from musicians in my home town….Michigan Girl by Ruth and Max Bloomquist. The vid’s gone viral with over 200,000 views. You’ll love it.
Let’s see here, what’s going on this Tuesday.
Obama is still ahead of Romney in the Michigan polls — 47% Obama to Romney’s 43%. Possibly a little gain for Mittens there since the January poll where Obama lead him by 48 to 40.
While we’re on polls, most Americans believe rescuing the Auto industry has helped the overall economy at 45%, while 29% say it hurt the economy. 5% were unsure. That leaves us with…er…21% unaccounted for who apparently mumbled their answer into the phone? Anyway, good news overall for Obama.
Our own Eclectablog shows some righteous annoyance at legal challenges to the Emergency Financial Manager law repeal petition. The legal challenge bases its merits on Font Size. The challenge suggests that since the font size on the petition was 12 point rather than 14 point ALL the signatures need to be thrown out. Hey, anybody ever see one of those large font books for folks with bad vision? The font makes 14 point seem dainty. Oh hey…if 14 point font is in the interest of those with vision impairments, does that mean my insurance contracts and credit card info need to be…..no? Thank god the people at Citizens for Fiscal Responsibility are looking out for…the best font size to suit business’s interests at the time. **squint** says something here about Data charges in 8 point font here on this Chase credit card solicitation.
Alright guys…this one is IMPORTANT. A great guy named David Takitaki is eyeing up running for Bill Huizenga’s US Congressional seat. The man is brilliant. BRILLIANT. And his voice, like golden honey. You know I’ll be behind him all the way if he does it.
Anyway, folks…discuss.
