Paul Scott’s goofy, crazy, make-believe, lying liar radio ads

I’ve been listening to 103.9 for the last few days and I’ve had the extreme misfortune of hearing a couple of pro Paul Scott radio ads. I cannot believe the cesspool that is this guy’s campaign. I’ve tried finding the ads online so that you too could enjoy these fine pieces of fiction. Unfortunately I couldn’t find them anywhere. I would love a copy of thse ads if you can find them somewhere. Seriously, email them to us so we can debunk them line by line. Bloggingformichigan@gmail.com.

So. First ad, yesterday morning. I know you’ll be shocked by this, but the ad begins by demonizing our public employees. “All the rest of us have had to sacrifice and pay more of our benefits, while public employees have not had to make any cuts. Paul Scott voted for fairness.” Or some BS like that. This is such an offensive crock of crap. Our public employees have had to do more with less for years. Not only have they lost pay and benefits over the years, the reduction in staff has stuck many of them with a dangerous and stressful work load. In fact their workload per person has increased proportionately more than that of the private sector, because demand for public services increase in a poor economy. Ask our first responders how they’re doing.

That same ad goes on to say that Paul Scott voted against taxing Social Security. That is not the language exactly but that was the message. I don’t remember a Social Security vote coming up in the State House, so maybe someone can help me out on that? Seems like the kind of thing I’d remember.

Next ad. This afternoon. “Do you want politicians like Woodrow Stanley running things?” “No, why?” “Paul Scott is nothing like Woodrow Stanley …”

I’m not sure why Paul Scott needs to campaign against Woodrow Stanley … maybe he figures that campaigning against teachers, cops, fire-fighters, prison guards, etc., might not be enough. Stanley does make a convenient bad guy. He was Mayor of a high crime city, he was recalled, he’s pro-union, and his really black skin looks really darn good on Paul Scott’s fake mug shot campaign mailers.

I look forward to tomorrow’s ad, in which Paul Scott asks for your support on the basis that the tooth fairy sucks.
