Working America introduces the “Job Tracker”. You can help make it viral.

Working America, a community affiliate of the AFL-CIO, has created a Job Tracker that allows you to identify companies are not doing their part to help our country and our economy.

Find out which companies in your area are exporting jobs, laying off workers, endangering workers’ health or involved in cases of violations of workers’ rights. The database contains information on more than 400,000 companies nationwide.

Easy to use, you simply plug in your Zip Code and hit the “Search” button.

How can YOU help? By voting for the Job Tracker HERE. They are in a close race to win this Department of Labor competition which will allow them to receive more funding.

We’re looking for innovative ways to increase public awareness of the laws enforced by DOL to ensure fair and safe workplaces. The challenge is to utilize inspection and compliance information from the hotel, motel, restaurant and retail industries to help workers and consumers take educated action.

Applications that best satisfy the competition criteria may receive cash prizes up to $15,000 for the first prize winner. Contestants are encouraged to combine DOL data with other publicly accessible data feeds from around the web, and to be creative in exploring approaches for realizing the goals.

Let’s help them out and VOTE!. Please spread the word.
