Tim Walberg votes to shrink Medicare, Social Security

Seriously. I bet if we could get a look at Tim Walberg‘s living room, we’d see the heads of seniors mounted all over his walls, along with the ballpoint pens he used to take them out.

This time the Teabagger favorite voted for the “cut, cap, and balance” bill, which will cut, cap, and end Medicare for seniors. According to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, this bill is “one of the most ideologically extreme pieces of major budget legislation to come before Congress in years, if not decades.” Which means it was just too yummy for Walberg to resist.

“Reaching and maintaining a balanced budget in the decade ahead while barring any tax increases would necessitate deep cuts in Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. …. Big cuts in these programs would be inevitable.”

This bill is textbook Grover Norquist. Polls show that the public does not support these cuts to our safety net,

Less than one in five adults support spending cuts in the Medicare healthcare program for seniors as a means to significantly rein in the massive federal budget deficit, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey. More than half (54 percent) said they opposed such a measure, while 27 percent had no opinion.

Forty-six percent said significant cuts to Medicare were “totally unacceptable,” while 7 percent said they are appropriate. Thirty-five percent said cuts to state Medicaid healthcare programs for the poor were equally unacceptable, and 9 percent said they were “totally acceptable.”

The goofy GOPbaggers are out of touch with America and their goofy GOPbagger plans are destructive to Americans.

Why can't Rep Walberg be recalled before he does more damage?  His record is attrocious.  His smarmy, arogant assumption that if he prays and reads the Consititution in public, he needn't work for the benefit of  Michigan's citizens is offensive.   And I fear that he doesn't care about anything but pushing a "wealthy and business entitlement" agenda so far that it can't be corrected in many genertions.

Help!  How can we start a recall?
