I am no "fan" of Ayn Rand, but this video is a sham, misrepresenting and distorting by cherry-picking specific statements and juxtaposing them out of context, of course.
First of all, the idiot announcer rants on and on about Rand's atheism. That is meaningles.
Next, Rand warns Americans about the tendency to move toward collectivism, and that is what is happening. Look at what the Left wants in America.
Next, there is the reference to the morality of free market capitalism. This is not government in collusion with business, but FREE market capitalism. I hope that you realize it actually forces a kind of morality. Ask yourself a question, I will not provide the answer: If a person wants to start a business in a free market, any kind of business, what is the FIRST question that must be considered if he wants any kind of success? If you have the courage to answer that question honestly, you will find the answer.
Finally, the dumb announcer claimed that Randism is the new philosophy of the Republican Party. That is absolutely not true. At the most, there are the two main aspects of what she promoted that are reasonable:
1. Free market capitalism both leads to prosperity and morality. (Please do not start with corporations that collude with government; that is not the above.)
2. We must avoid the drift toward the collective state. Rand knew about this: She left Russia. Do you know that the Left started hating her when she testified before Congress? Do you know that she had trouble in Hollywood because of the Leftists there? Actresses were warned not to go into her movies because the Hollywood Left-wingers would never hire them again?

My post has received 5 "dislike" votes. Perhaps one or all of those people could express precisely why they dislike that post. I am sure that there are good reasons, so we could then discuss these. After all, we should be willing to listen to one another's ideas, don't you agree? I am puzzled about people who claim to want to be open and listen to others but in reality, they seem to simply want to shut them down.
